Stamped Accessories

Hi Crafties! Today I am back with a post which involves stamping but not on cards! Curious? Read ahead to know more.

I used stamps by Mudra. And hero arts dye inks. You can use any brand.

First, I stamped the cute elephant image from Critter Party (one of my favorite stamp sets) twice on watercolor cardstock with black versafine ink.

I then watercolored with Koi watercolors. You can use whichever coloring medium you are comfortable with.

For the other pieces, I stamped the moustache and the hat from ‘The Man’ stamp set, the school bag from the ‘Beach fun’ stamp set & the flower bunch from the ‘Mogra layers’ stamp set.

After fussy cutting [fancy term for cutting with scissors 😉 ] all the images, I then brushed Sparkle Mod Podge over them. After they thoroughly dried, I generously applied Mod Podge Dimensional Magic over each of them and left them to dry overnight.

Using hot glue I then attached brooch pins to the pink elephant & Brown school bag, big paper clips to the hat & flower bunch and the ring base to the moustache. To the blue elephant & pink school bag, I stuck pieces of magnetic tape.

I made 2 brooches, 2 magnets , 2 paper clips & 1 ring in total.

I had also made a multicolored elephant magnet, but I wasn’t able to find it when I took the pics.

Being able to combine my love for stamping with making ready to use accessories makes me very happy.

Mudra Stamps – Craft Challenge #24 : Make your own Embellishments

A Simple Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Today is my very first post on cardmaking. I am so excited to start this journey of chronicling my cards. I have a simple card for today.

I used the Craftreat Mandala stencil.

First I took some white cardstock and diecut it with a rectangle-die.

Then placing the stencil in the left hand corner of the cardstock, I secured it with masking tape.

After that I took Faded jeans & Wild honey distress oxide and blended them with finger daubers.

I stamped the sentiment with same inks using stamps from Craftyscrappers and Little birdie stamp sets.

Then I adhered the panel on a slightly bigger pattern paper and mounted the whole panel on an A2 card base.

Hope you liked it. Do let me know in the comments!

Thank you for stopping by…  Have a great day ahead!
