Hiya Crafties!
Diwali is just around the corner!
It is a hindu festival of lights. We celebrate it by eating a variety of sweets and lighting diyas and fire-crackers.
I made this card for my niece’s teacher.
I first stamped the Diya (lamp) from the Diwali Decors stamp by Mudra using various Hero arts dye inks.
After that I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set.
The hexagon diecut is from an earlier card I made. I like to save negatives of diecuts and use them as & when I need in a card.
I also distressed the edges of the panel with dye ink to bring everything together.
Adhered the panel onto a readymade yellow colored card base by Itsy bitsy.
I also cut the card in a house shape to add interest. Also, with a fine tip red pen, I added details on the card base. Finished it off with Sparkling dotties by Itsy Bitsy.
Thank you for stopping by… Have a great day ahead!
