Geometric Neon Floral Card | MFT 2019 Card Design SuperStar | Clean and Simple Genius

Hello Crafties,

Today I have a Clean and Simple card made using supplies by My Favorite Things.

I am entering my card in the Clean and Simple Genius category for the MFT 2019 Card Design Superstar!

I always look forward to this challenge as MFT is one of my favorite things! (Pun unintended) 😉

I have a VIDEO TUTORIAL for this card below on my IGTV :

Doing simple is never easy, it just seems it is. I love making CAS cards as much as I love making interactive cards!

I love to stitch and hence I had the idea of doing stitching on the Stitched blooms flower-dies.

The framework background stamp is awesome for people who love to color, which includes me! 😆

Supplies used :

MFT Framework Background stamp

MFT Stitched Blooms dieset

MFT Geometric Greenery stamp

MFT Seaside Seagulls

Fevicryl Neon Colors

Black Marker

Black embroidery thread

Would love to know your FEEDBACK regarding both the card and the video!!

The Flower Challenge #36 : Anything Goes

Thanks A Bunch!

Hiya Crafties!

I have a very different card to show you.

It’s called a pendulum card and it was pretty easy to make in comparison to my other interactive cards.

You can see the card in action below:

The burning of the Amazon forest has been in the news lately.

We really need to be grateful to our forests and jungles and the animals residing in them.

Dedicating my card to this cause….

I have used the Critter Party and Label Love stamp sets by Mudra.

Saying that I love these stamp set would be an understatement.

They have such adorable images and awesome sentiments!

For the clouds, I used the cloud stencil by My Favorite Things.

Another one of my favorite.

Distress oxides are my go to inks for backgrounds.

I wanted to create a cheerful bright card. I guess I was successful in doing so!

What do you think? 😉

MFT Camp Create Day 3 and 5 : Spectacular Shakers and Glitzy Glitter

Hi Crafties!

For today’s MFT Camp Create I have combined 2 techniques from 2 days and created a single Spectacular Glitter card! 😉

Entering it into MFT Camp Create Spectacular Shakers and Glitzy Glitter.

You can see a short video of the card in action below:

Today’s card is pretty simple. I just took a glitter cardstock and diecut the sentiment from it.

The sentiment dieset and the stamped images are by ‘MFT’.

On the back, I adhered the acetate, lined the back with foam tape and added plenty of sequins. The sequins are Warm Breeze by ‘Dress My Craft’.

Finally I stuck a white card panel of the same size to the shaker panel.

And my card is done.

Bloom Where You Are Planted!

Hey Crafties!

I am back with another floral card!

I did a lot of masking for this one. But it was worth the effort.

I used the Flower Bloom stamp & die set by Jillibean Soup for this card.

It has these tiny leaves & flowers stamps which helped me in making this bloom.

The sentiments are pretty nice too.

I first diecut the pointed banner die with masking paper and then stamped the images around it.

The inks used were by Hero Arts.

I am loving this color combo lately.

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for stopping by… Have a great day ahead!

Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday – Spring Flowers

Happy Holi !!!

Hiya Crafties!

Happy Holi !!! 🎉🎉 🎉.

Wishing everyone a Happy & Colorful Holi!

I made this card to celebrate the importance of colors in our lives 💗💚💛💙

Holi is one of the great festivals of India which is celebrated with great zeal, zest and enthusiasm. It is also called as the festival of colors during which people play with colors and splash colors on each other. Holi also signifies the triumph of good over evil as this was the day when evil king Hiranyakashyap was slayed by Narsimha, the half man and half lion incarnation of Lord Vishnu and saved Prahlad who was a devotee of him…

You can see the card in action below:

I used the Magic Picture Changer-die by Lawn Fawn.

I first blended Tattered Rose distress oxide and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink on the front panel.

Stamps are by Lawn Fawn & Avery Elle.

On the back panel, I stamped the splatters stamp by Kaisercraft in different Hero Arts dye inks.

I used the square border-die that comes with the set on kraft cardstock.

After assembling the card I adhered it to a kraft base.

And my interactive card is ready.

Tree Jewelry Holder featuring Craft Cement!

Hey Crafties!
I am back with another project for Itsy Bitsy.
This month’s Blog Challenge is Challenge #19: Anything Goes using Little Birdie Craft Cement.
Little Birdie Craft Cement is such a versatile product. You can use any mould/plastic box available at home to make different types of holders!
Today, I have a step by step photo tutorial to help you create a ‘Tree Jewelry Holder’.

Let’s begin :
Step 1
Let us first make the tree. For this, I die cut bright white cardstock and 2 different shades of brown handmade cardstock using ‘Flowering Tree’ thin cut die. All products are by Little Birdie.
Step 2
I adhered all three of the tree die cuts in such a way that they were not aligned exactly behind each other and was slightly off. I did this on purpose so that you can see each color peeking a bit.
* You can use different shades of same color cardstock to give added dimension to your die cuts *
Step 3
I then die cut the little flowers & leaves that come with the ‘Flowering Tree’ die set using different colors of felt.
Step 4
The next step involves sticking these leaves & flowers on the tree.
This is how it looks :
Step 5
Let’s make the base now!
I mixed the required amount of Little Birdie Craft Cement gradually with water till I got a flowing consistency. I applied a bit of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) on the inside of the plastic box. Then I poured the cement mixture into it. You can use whatever box is available.
* Pour water gradually into the cement and not in one go *
Step 6
I let the cement sit in the mould for about 10 min and then pressed the tree upright inside it. I also pressed a small lid beside the tree to create a holder for my jewelry.
* Put a heavy object inside the small lid to create a deeper dent *
Step 7
I kept it aside for 24 hours and then took the cement base out of the mould. I also took the lid out. It looks like this :
Step 8
Now Lets decorate the jewelry holder we made. I applied Glass Bead Gel with a spatula on the base of the tree and let it dry till it turned transparent. This gives the effect of small rocks at the bottom of the tree.
Step 9
After this I painted the base with ‘Charcoal’ chalk paint. To finish off, I glued some leaves and flowers that were leftover from Step 3 on the base of the tree with silicon glue.
Ta da! Our project is complete!
Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Have a great day ahead!

Partial Heat Embossing

Hiya Crafties!

Heat Embossing gives such a royale effect to our cards without doing much!

I did partial heat embossing technique by my fav Jennifer Mcguire for my card.

You can find her tutorial here.

This is my card:

I used the Large Petal background stamp by Hero Arts .

First I stamped with Versamark ink.

I then poured the WOW White Pearl Superfine embossing powder over it. With a fine brush, I removed the powder from the outer design carefully.

The white powder being transparent took on the color of the gray cardstock. The metallic shine it gives is so beautiful. The picture doesn’t do it justice.

I colored the stamp with my Inktense pencils.

The large number die is by Altenew.

I used the inlaid diecutting technique and foam mounted the number diecuts cut from a watercolored cardstock colored with yellow.

This way I can use the positives of the number diecuts in another card.

Finally I adhered the panel on A2 card base by Itsy Bitsy.

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Muse Challenge #293 : Anything goes

A Glowing 2019!

Hey Crafties!

Glow-in-the-dark is such an awesome invention right after the light bulb. Don’t both light up the dark! 😉

I have an hexagon easel card for today which, yes, you guessed it right- glows in the dark! Yay!

All the images were heat embossed with Wow Glow in the dark embossing powder.

It gives such a pretty no-line coloring effect!

The stamp set I used is Happy Village by Lawn Fawn.

I added an extra element (the house) inside the card to add dimension.

This is how it looks opened up :

Even the sentiment is heat embossed with Wow Glow in the dark embossing powder.

Just love how it glows at night!

The background is done using distress oxides and the hexagon cuttingdie is by Gina Marie Designs. The number stamp is by Itsy Bitsy.
