You are my Everything!

Hello Crafties!

Flowers are so inspiring that they make great art designs. They create that timeless feel.

Today I have a floral card using faux watercolor stamps.

Altenew makes awesome floral stamps and one of them is the Watercolor Wonders stamp set that creates faux watercolor effect.

It creates such pretty flowers that is helpful if you are new to watercoloring.

I used different distress inks and some hero arts inks for the card.

The stripes stencil is also by Altenew. I used gray to help enhance the floral colors.

The sentiment is from another Altenew stamp set called Painted Rose.

Finished it off with some splatters and clear sequins.

How do you like my faux floral card?

The Flower Challenge #38

Sending Loads of Love!

Hiya Crafties!

Whenever I see any new craft products, I am tempted to imagine their use in making interactive cards. I am that crazy about making them.

Today I have a card made with Dress My Craft ‘Love Floral Sentiment’ dieset. When I first laid my eyes on it, I knew I had to make a double slider card with it.

You can see the card in action below :

I had made a card with a similar technique. You can check it out here.

For the background I used distress oxides. I layered many layers of grass diecuts to give a 3d effect. I have used distress oxide on the grass too.

The clouds are from a MFT stamp set. I had to stick around 3 layers of diecut flowers to make the centre image sturdy.

I’ll be coming up with a video tutorial for this type of card soon.

The sentiment stamps are by Honeybee stamps.

Did you like the surprise in the card?

Do let me know in the comments below.

Dream Girl – Mixed Media Card

Hi Crafties!
I am back with another DT inspiration project for the ongoing Itsy Bitsy Blog Challenge #21 : Anything Goes with Little Birdie Metallic Wax.

You can find the post here.

We all have dreams! Dreams of soaring high, dreams of having it all…
Today I have a card that tries to illustrates those dreams!
This is my first ever mixed media card!

Read on further to know how I made it…
Lets begin!
Step 1:
On a 5.5 x 6 inches panel of Bright White cardstock, I used the Net stencil with Hot Pink Color Splash.
Step 2:
Next I cut a doily in half & then folded it again and adhered it on the panel.
Step 3:
I then used the Script stencil with Crackle paste on the top left corner and the bottom right corner of the panel for added interest.
Step 4:
After this, I glued mixed media strips as shown.
Step 5:
On this, I dabbed Copper Blaze Metallic Wax by Little Birdie. It is so smooth to use.
Step 6:
I also dabbed the Copper Blaze Metallic Wax on some gorgeous white handmade flowers by Little Birdie.
I then glued them down on the panel as seen below :
Step 7:
In the next step, I stamped the images from the Princess and Dragon stamp set. I colored these images with Color splash and Metallic paint.
Step 8:
I pasted these images with glue and some with foam tape to give dimension.
I also stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and glued it on the panel. I distressed the sides of the panel with my scissors and also dabbed Copper Blaze Metallic Wax here and there.
I finally glued the panel to the card base. And my first ever mixed media is complete!
Hope you liked my card!

Always Flowers!

Hello Crafties!

Flowers are always a good idea. That’s why I made a pop up box card full of flowers.

I used Pinkfresh Studio stamp set ‘Always Flowers’ for the same.

Below is the video of the card :

The base of the box card is created using the Scalloped Box Card dieset by Lawn Fawn.

I colored the images with my Koi watercolor set in warm hues. I then fussy cut the flowers and adhered them on the box card.

I watercolored the panels too!

The sentiment is by Your Next Stamp.

The individual flowers were adhered on strips of acetate. I also added 2 honey bees from the same set to resemble a garden.

I made this card for a friend.

Hope this card full of flowers made you happy.

Timeout Challenges #132 : Home Sweet Home

Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday March 2019 : Spring Flowers

Flower Bouquet Card!

Hello Crafties!
Hope you all are doing absolutely fantastic!

This month’s challenge by Itsy Bitsy is Anything Goes with Little Birdie Watercolour Embellishments

I have a tutorial for you for a Flower Bouquet Card!
What’s better than flowers
Flowers that don’t wilt !!! πŸ˜‰
Read on further, how to make the Flower Bouquet card…..

You can see the card in action below :

Let’s make the base first :

Step 1:
I first took a light brown handmade paper by Little Birdie measuring 8.5″ Γ— 12″. Scored this piece on the long side at 2.75″, 5.5″, 8.25″ and 11″.
Step 2:
Then I cut off 2″Γ—12″ from the above panel. Kept this strip aside as we would require it later.
Step 3:
I then scored the 6.5″ Γ— 12″ panel at 2.75″ on the shorter side and cut along the red lines as shown in the pic.
It will look like this :
Step 4:
The strip (from step 2), I cut at 4.75″ from the end with the 1″ score line.
Then trimmed it in half the long way to get 2 strips of 1″ x 4.75″ each as shown in the pic. Scored them and added double sided tape to the scored ends.
See how I attached them to the box:
Step 5:
For the matting I cut the following :
6 panels of 2.5″ square
3 panels of 2.5″ Γ— 3.5″
2 panels of 2.5″ Γ— 6.5″
See how I adhered them below :
I adhered a white piece of cardstock on the back to write a message for the recipient.

For the flowers :

Step 1:
I used the Watercolour Paper Blooms pack by Little Birdie. Leaving the largest size, I used the other 3 sizes of flowers.
Step 2:
You can watercolor them as per your choice. I used watercolor pencils to color them. Then I embossed the petals a little bit and decorated the center with Little Birdie Pearl drops. I let the drops dry overnight.
* You can make smaller or larger dots based on your choice. They dry hard. *
Step 3:
I also diecut leaves from the Ornate frame dieset with green cardstock.
Step 4:
The next step is to add thin strips of green cardstock (of different lengths) to each of the flowers and some of the leaves.
Step 5:
I also diecut 3 panels of cream color handmade paper using appropriate Square cross-stitch thin cut die by Little Birdie.
I stamped a sentiment onto this from my stash.
The last step is to attach the flowers & leaves with glue onto the box as per your choice.
Hope you liked my flower bouquet card. If you do make this card, I would love to see your creations.
Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Have a great day ahead!

A Garden of Flowers!

Hi Crafties!

Flowers are so beautiful that just looking at them makes our day, doesn’t it? What if we could keep looking at them forever when we feel like?

A garden of flowers is exactly that kind of a card! ❀

Let’s see how to make it…

I first created a basic box card with Grey cardstock.

I then stamped different flowers from the Hearts & Flowers stamp set by Altenew with Hero Arts dye ink cubes.

I fussy cut these and glued acetate strips on their back.

I also diecut a grass border by Lawn Fawn from green cardstock and adhered on the front.

I arranged the flowers on the box card so as to create the effect of a garden.

The happy word die is by Lawn Fawn.

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for stopping by… Have a great day ahead!
