Warm Wishes from a Snowman

Hi Crafties!

Today I have something other than a card. Can you guess what is it? Yes, a tag!

Gift tags are such a fun idea to add to your gifts and make them more interesting.

I made this tag rather quickly. Just cut some pattern paper and ink it on the bottom. Stick it on a scalloped diecut panel, and a sentiment and image and yiu are done. It is so easy to make. I had the snowman already colored and fussy cut.

* If you stamp, color & fussy cut images beforehand, making cards or tags can be very quick*

I colored my snowman with inktense pencils. I feel these pencils give a very realistic finish to the images.

The stamp set is by Jane’s Doodles.

Hope you like my pretty simple tag.

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

Hi Crafties,

On account of World Cardmaking Day, I have a pastel colored shaker card for you today!

I have used the emboss resist technique to create the background.

I first heat embossed the Flora background stamp by Simon Says Stamp with white embossing powder.

I then ink blended various distress oxide inks to create this stunning effect.

The sentiment is from the Altenew stamp ‘Painted Greetings’.

Have you tried this technique before?

Window Flower Pop-Up Card

Hello Crafties!

Today I have a card that I made using stencils.

You can see the card in action below :

I have used stencils by CraftTreat.

The shaded flower stencil is pretty easy and fun to use. Lining up the layers is pretty simple too. I used distress oxides for the layering. I love using distress oxides for most of my inking. They are totally worth the investment in my opinion!

This is a window pop-up card. I have a tutorial for a similar card here.

So when you open the card, the inside image pops up. So fun!

The inside sentiment is by Gina K designs. And the outer one is my Mudra stamps.

For the outer panel, I used the Polka dot stencil again by CrafTreat.

I loved making this quick and easy card! Would you make one too?

Do let me know in the comments below.

Hello Crafties!

I love making them. Specially the ones with inspirational quotes on them.

For today’s project, I diecut a hexagon out of black chipboard.Loving the hexagon die by Gina Marie.
I then, heat embossed the sentiment stamp with WOW Metallic gold rich embossing powder.
The stamp is by Jane’s doodles.
The cactus stamps are by Itsy bitsy’s – Little birdie.
I watercolored and then fussy cut them and adhered at the bottom of the hexagon.

A Glowing 2019!

Hey Crafties!

Glow-in-the-dark is such an awesome invention right after the light bulb. Don’t both light up the dark! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have an hexagon easel card for today which, yes, you guessed it right- glows in the dark! Yay!

All the images were heat embossed with Wow Glow in the dark embossing powder.

It gives such a pretty no-line coloring effect!

The stamp set I used is Happy Village by Lawn Fawn.

I added an extra element (the house) inside the card to add dimension.

This is how it looks opened up :

Even the sentiment is heat embossed with Wow Glow in the dark embossing powder.

Just love how it glows at night!

The background is done using distress oxides and the hexagon cuttingdie is by Gina Marie Designs. The number stamp is by Itsy Bitsy.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #42 : Winter Holiday

Timeout Challenge #124 : Joyful

Happy Diwali!

Hiya Crafties!

Diwali is just around the corner!

It is a hindu festival of lights. We celebrate it by eating a variety of sweets and lighting diyas and fire-crackers.

I made this card for my niece’s teacher.

I first stamped the Diya (lamp) from the Diwali Decors stamp by Mudra using various Hero arts dye inks.

After that I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set.

The hexagon diecut is from an earlier card I made. I like to save negatives of diecuts and use them as & when I need in a card.

I also distressed the edges of the panel with dye ink to bring everything together.

Adhered the panel onto a readymade yellow colored card base by Itsy bitsy.

I also cut the card in a house shape to add interest. Also, with a fine tip red pen, I added details on the card base. Finished it off with Sparkling dotties by Itsy Bitsy.

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for stopping by… Have a great day ahead!
