XOXO Card

Hi Crafties!

I am back with another interactive card – a double slider surprise card!

Well, you can say I love interactive cards. I just can’t stop making them. 😆

I have tweaked the mechanism a little bit for this card.

Here’s the card in action :

I have used products by Jillibean Soup.

The stamp sets used are Bowl of dreams & Flower bloom.

For the background I used Salty ocean distress oxide.

I have made the card according to a tutorial based on Laura’s card.

I also used Bowl of dreams paper pack by Jillibean Soup.

I had fun making this card!

Did it surprise you?

A Garden of Flowers!

Hi Crafties!

Flowers are so beautiful that just looking at them makes our day, doesn’t it? What if we could keep looking at them forever when we feel like?

A garden of flowers is exactly that kind of a card! ❤

Let’s see how to make it…

I first created a basic box card with Grey cardstock.

I then stamped different flowers from the Hearts & Flowers stamp set by Altenew with Hero Arts dye ink cubes.

I fussy cut these and glued acetate strips on their back.

I also diecut a grass border by Lawn Fawn from green cardstock and adhered on the front.

I arranged the flowers on the box card so as to create the effect of a garden.

The happy word die is by Lawn Fawn.

Happy Birthday Foodie!

Hello Crafties!

Happy New Year! Hope the new year brings immense happiness & peace to you and your family!❤

Today I am back with an interactive card I made for a foodie!
Well, we all love to eat (I do 😉), don’t we?
But this card also contains a surprise! Something else we also love…

Check out the video below to see the surprise!

For this card, I smooshed some Wild Honey & Squeezed lemonade distress oxide on a white card panel.

I also stamped, colored & fussy cut images from my new Breakfast puns stamp set by Sunny Studio Stamps.
Those images are so cute, aren’t they?

For the interactive mechanism I used Surf & Turf dienamics by My Favorite Things.

I also stamped, colored & fussy cut the images from Hello stamp set by Waffle Flower stamps.

For the coloring I used my Inktense pencils!

Partial Heat Embossing

Hiya Crafties!

Heat Embossing gives such a royale effect to our cards without doing much!

I did partial heat embossing technique by my fav Jennifer Mcguire for my card.

You can find her tutorial here.

This is my card:

I used the Large Petal background stamp by Hero Arts .

First I stamped with Versamark ink.

I then poured the WOW White Pearl Superfine embossing powder over it. With a fine brush, I removed the powder from the outer design carefully.

The white powder being transparent took on the color of the gray cardstock. The metallic shine it gives is so beautiful. The picture doesn’t do it justice.

I colored the stamp with my Inktense pencils.

The large number die is by Altenew.

I used the inlaid diecutting technique and foam mounted the number diecuts cut from a watercolored cardstock colored with yellow.

This way I can use the positives of the number diecuts in another card.

Finally I adhered the panel on A2 card base by Itsy Bitsy.

This is my entry :

For this card, I used the Donuts & Treats stamp set by Itsy Bitsy and colored the image with my Inktense pencils.

Inktense pencils are so bright and intense. Just love them!

The sentiment stamp is Painted Inspiration by Altenew with Hero Arts dye ink.

This stamp set has such bold beautiful sentiments.

The border dies are by Lawn Fawn.

I completed my card using Nuvo crystal drops.

A Little Surprise!

Hello Crafties!

I love creating surprises inside my cards! Interactivity is so much fun!

For my card today, I have a surprise element hidden inside the card!

On first glance, it looks like a normal Christmas card.

But when you pull the cherry up, there is the surprise hidden! 😉

Isn’t it fun?

I tried the Pull tab technique shown by my crafting idol Jennifer Mcguire. 😍

You can check it here.

I used the cupcake topping from ‘Carnival Cupcakes’ stamp set by ‘Mama Elephant’. As I didn’t have any Christmas tree stamp!

The little girl is from ‘Girlfriends’ stamp set by ‘Mama Elephant’ again.

The sentiment & snowflakes are from ‘Janes Doodles’.

I used the ‘Whipped cream’ Sparkle paste by ‘Little Birdie’ from Itsy bitsy mixing it with Fired brick distress oxide!

The stripes stencil is by ‘Craftreat’.

Krafty Wishes

Hi Crafties!

I love Kraft cardstock. But I don’t use it as much as I want to.

But today I have a kraft card for you.

I used the Honey bee stamps ‘Sending sentiment’ stamp set for this card.

The shadow effect is achieved using white pigment ink & distress oxide. Isn’t it awesome?

The snowflakes are from Jane’s doodles.

I also used the border-dies by Lawn Fawn.

Happy Diwali!

Hiya Crafties!

Diwali is just around the corner!

It is a hindu festival of lights. We celebrate it by eating a variety of sweets and lighting diyas and fire-crackers.

I made this card for my niece’s teacher.

I first stamped the Diya (lamp) from the Diwali Decors stamp by Mudra using various Hero arts dye inks.

After that I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set.

The hexagon diecut is from an earlier card I made. I like to save negatives of diecuts and use them as & when I need in a card.

I also distressed the edges of the panel with dye ink to bring everything together.

Adhered the panel onto a readymade yellow colored card base by Itsy bitsy.

I also cut the card in a house shape to add interest. Also, with a fine tip red pen, I added details on the card base. Finished it off with Sparkling dotties by Itsy Bitsy.

Here comes Santa…

Hi Crafties!

How are you doing? I hope you are doing awesome.

I have been in awe of Santa Claus ever since I got to know about him as a child.

He brings back feelings of excitement, surprise and happy times.

So to recreate these feelings I have a card for you featuring our beloved Santa!

For this card, I took a 5.5× 5 inches card panel.

I used Craftangles ‘Christmas stencil’ and blended various distress oxides in shades of blue over it.

I then used different distress oxides for the individual elements.

The sentiment stamp and the border stamp is by ‘Itsy bitsy’.

I also splattered watered down white gesso over the scene to make it look like it was snowing.

I then foam mounted the panel on my card base. And my card is done!
