Hi Gorgeous | Concord and 9th | I love Math Challenge 17

Hello Crafties!

Today I have a one layer watercolored card for you.

I have used used the ‘Birthday Stacks’ stamp set by Concord and 9th. I stamped the balloons image from the set as trees with vintage photo distress ink.

I love stretching my stamps this way. Not only does it give value for money but it is so creatively satisfying too!

I then watercolored the images and the background with my inktense pencils. They give such a bright outcome. I simply love it.

The sentiment is also by Concord and 9th.

Do you also stretch your supplies?

Do let know in the comments below. Would love to know.

Snow Much Fun!

Hello Crafties!

Though it doesn’t snow where I live, I keep dreaming of it. So much that all my winter cards have some amount of snow in them!

Today’s card is so not an exception!

The little mouse is from the ‘Warm Wishes’ stamp set by Jane’s Doodles. I simply love that stamp set! I keep picking it up again and again. You can find my cards featuring this stamp set here, here and here.

The snowflake is also from the same stamp set. And so is the sentiment.

I ink blended different shades of blue distress oxides for the background. Comment below if you wish to know the exact names.

Does it snow where you live? Do lete know in the comments below.

I used distress oxides for the background.

The grass dieset is by Little Birdie from itsy bitsy.

Out of this World!

Hi Crafties!

Today’s card is a fun interactive galaxy card I made with Lawn Fawn stamps!

You can see the interactive feature in the video below :

I used different distress oxides for the background.

I started by blending Lucky Clover distress oxide on the outside in a circular motion. Followed by Peacock blue distress oxide and then Tumbled Glass distress oxide in the middle.

Lastly I used a bit of Black Soot distress oxide on the outer most part. I splattered white acrylic paint on the final outcome.

The interactive feature was inspired by my favorite Jennifer Mcguire! You can find her tutorial here.

I stamped, colored and fussy cut the images from the Out of this World stamp set by Lawn fawn.

The moon revolves along with the planets. I had such fun making this card. Hope you like it too!

You are Tea-rrific!

Hello Crafties!

I am back with a magic picture changer card – this time for tea lovers! ☕☕☕

You can see the card in action below:

For this card I used the Lawn Fawn magic picture changer cuttingdie. It is such a useful one to create surprise cards!

I paired it with stamps from Little Birdie Crafts by Itsy Bitsy.

I colored the images with my inktense pencils.

The tea image was a bit longer for the window so I partially stamped it (not using the upper 2 cups) and then drew the outline (for the last cup) with a black permanent marker.

I decorated the outside with polka dotted pattern paper.

It is always fun making these type of interactive cards.

I hope you like them too.😊

Window Pop-up Birthday Card!

Hello Crafties!

I am back with a new DT post for Itsy Bitsy.

Birthdays are special and giving a handmade card for a birthday expresses our feelings towards that person.
Also we love surprises on our birthdays, don’t we? 😍
So today, I have a different type of birthday card for you – a surprise window pop up card!

You can see the card in action below :

Read on to find out how to make one….
Step 1 :
I first used the Victorian Window thin cut die by Little Birdie on a blue paper from the Chevron in Aquarelle paper pack.
Step 2 :
Then, I watercolored different colors on a watercolor cardstock and used the little flowers and leaves dies (that come in the Victorian Window thin cut dieset) with it. I assembled the flowers and leaves on the window panel.
* You can use colored cardstock instead of watercoloring *
Step 3 :
I then trimmed a sheet of textured white cardstock by Little Birdie to 5″ × 10″ and scored at 5 inches creating a 5 × 5 inches square card base.
On the front, I stamped the brick stamp with vintage photo distress ink.
Step 4 :
In the next step, I traced the inside of the window on the stamped panel. And then using a cutter, cut the traced part. After this, I adhered the completed window panel (from step 2) on the front panel.
Step 5 :
The next step I did was stamping and coloring these pretty images with various coloring mediums including distress inks. These are from the Jungle Birthday , Birthday Wish and Happy Bird-day stamp sets by Little Birdie.
I also adhered them together in a cluster.
Like this :
Step 6 :
Now, let’s make the inside pop up mechanism.
Cut a strip measuring 0.5″ x 4.25″ and score it at 0.75″ and 2.75″ and 3.5″.
Step 7 :
Stick double-sided tape onto the scored parts as shown.
Place the the strip with 0.75″ scored side close to the fold of the card as shown .
Take out the backing of that part and close the card.
It will look like this:
Step 8:
Now turn the strip to the other side and fold it at the 2.75″ scored part, taking out the backing from the last scored part, close the card again (like before).
It will look like this:
Step 9:
The next step involved adhering the cluster of the colored images (obtained from step 5) onto our created pop up.
* Add details with a white pen to enhance your images *

Step 10 :
I stuck a piece of Vellum on the inside of the window to recreate a real window. I also added strips of black washi tape onto both sides of the front panel to add interest and stamped a sentiment from my stash on the bottom.
And our Window Pop-up Surprise card is ready.
I am sure you would want to make it for your loved ones. Would love to see your creations!
Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Have a great day ahead!

Timeout Challenges #131

Home Sweet Home!

Hi Crafties!

Lawn Fawn is having an awesome challenge going on.

Make a project inspired by a movie, song or book!

I instantly had the idea of making a card based on the movie ‘UP’.

I love this movie. It’s all about following your dreams. It is correctly defined by this awesome proverb –

Where your heart lies, there lies your treasure.

As always, I made an interactive card! I just can’t get enough of them. (I hope I never do.)

You can see the card in action below :

For this card, I started with a bigger panel.

I used the trio balloon stamp from ‘Bicycle built for you’ stamp set by Lawn Fawn, masking it several times to get this huge bunch of balloons.

For the house, I used the Happy Village stamp set. The clouds & birds are from the same stamp set.

I colored all images with my trusted inktense pencils.

The interactivity is based on magnets. One behind the bunch of balloons and other behind the panel.

I hid the sentiment too to create a spark of surprise.

I used the border-die from Lawn Fawn on the frame of the panel.

The background I made with distress oxides.

I hope this card gives you joy as much as I had making it.

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for stopping by…

Have a great day ahead!

A Box of Happiness!

Hiya Crafties!

I am back with a box card this time! A box full of happiness!
I love these type of cards as they can be displayed on our shelves in addition to making us happy (which is their primary objective if you must know 😆 ).

For this card, I made the basic box card layout. I’ll be posting a tutorial for the same soon.

The cutie girls and boys are from the Hello stamp set by Waffleflower.

I stamped, fussy cut and colored with my Inktense pencils!

The balloons are die cut from Paper Smooches dies.

I also used the Blotchy stencil by Little birdie along with various distress inks.

I adhered all of these with strips of acetate onto the box.

Aren’t they so cute?

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for stopping by… Have a great day ahead!

Uniko Birthday Challenge – 7th Birthday

For a Friend like Gnome one else!

Hello Crafties!

I am back with another card for Valentine’s day!

I have been long wanting to make a card with a happy summer scene. When the sun is up and the weather is pleasant and you just wanna have a picnic. That scene. 😍

So here I am with a card with the same feel (or so I would like to think) 😆.

For this card, I first used a cloud stencil with Tumbled glass distress oxide giving the soft clouds in the background.

Tumbled glass distress oxide is such a pretty shade of blue.

I then used the Stitched Valley dienamics by MFT.

The stamp set is also by MFT called BB You Gnome Me. It comes with such cute gnome images.

I colored these images with my inktense pencils!

And also added a wobble behind the gnome for fun.

That’s all for today!

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for stopping by… Have a great day ahead!
