I Miss You A Latte | Coffee Loving Cardmakers – Fall/Winter Blog Hop 2019

Hi Crafties!

One can never have enough coffee, right? Neither can I have enough coffee cards! πŸ˜†

This is a sweet coffee card made using stamps by Sunny Studio.

I created splatters in the background using watercolours!

I colored the images with watercolor markers and fussy cut them.

It was a very quick card to make given the simplicity.

I finished off the card with nuvo drops!

Though I messed up the background a bit just as I finished making the card.

Can you spot it?

Hello Crafties,

There are different techniques using inks and one of them is ink blending. One of my favorites! ❀

I have used distress inks for the ink blending.

The flower stamp set is by Gina K designs.

Did a bit of masking for this one.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

The grid stamp is by Craftyscrappers.

I finished off the card with ebony black Nuvo drops.

Hope you liked my video tutorial and the card too!

Turnabouts All the Way!

Hi Crafties!

I am back with not one but four cards to share with you!

I have used different turnabout stamps by Concord and 9th.

This is the 1st card :

I have used the Dahlia turnabout stamp set and the color pallette from MFT color challenge #116.

I used the cross stitched square dieset by Little Birdie.

This is another card I made with same stamp set.

I cut the panel into four for added interest. And added details with a white gel pen.

This is the 3rd card :

For this card, I used the Wreath turnabout stamp set.

I love the color palette on this card!

The sentiment is by Your Next Stamp.

And this is the 4th card:

This card is made using the Triangle turnabout stamp set!

I used distress oxides for all the cards. They are so versatile to use. Just love them!

If you wish to know which distress oxides I used in these cards, do let me know in the comments!

A Celebration Card!

Hi Crafties!

Today I have a celebration card I made using Altenew stamps. Altenew is celebrating its 5th birthday. I love their beautiful stamps. If you already do not know about this brand, you should definitely check them out!

For this card, I did some ink blending on white cardstock using distress inks.

Then I used the stripes stencil by Altenew and sprayed water over it to get a mild effect of stripes.

The stamp set I used is called ‘Celebrations’ . It is such a pretty stamp set.

I decided to leave the images white.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Finished off the card with some ebony nuvo drops.

I used the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box card die to make the base.

The paper pack is again by Jillibean Soup.

A Simple Birthday Card

Hello Crafties!

Creating a one layer card ( OLC ) seems pretty easy but believe me it really isn’t! The urge to keep adding more is real.

Today, I have an OLC birthday card with a geometric theme.

I created this card for my friend Milka’s I love Math Challenge.

I love participating in this challenge. It helps me to broaden my thinking with regards to using different elements.

For this card, I used the Safari Friends stamp set by My Favorite Things.

I used the 2 concentric square images.

The sentiment is by Concord & 9th.

I created a rainbow effect and also used ebony nuvo drops to finish off the card.

Hope you like the clean and simple look.

Faux Metal Butterfly Embellishment Card

Hello Crafties!

Butterflies are a universal symbol for good things to come. Like snowflakes, every butterfly is unique.

For my card today, I have created a faux metal butterfly.

I have used WOW Metallic Gold Rich superfine embossing powder to achieve this metallic effect.

Stacking 3 layers of butterfly diecuts by Frantic Stamper, I heat embossed them 3 times with the above embossing powder.

This technique has been shown by Jennifer Mcguire. You can find her tutorial here.

The faux metal butterfly looks way more prettier in real.

The sentiment I used is by Jillibean Soup.

The background is watercolored with Koi watercolors.

I finished off the card with Ebony Nuvo drops.

A Tree of Warm Wishes!

Hey Crafties!

Now-a-days, I am loving making interactive cards!

Today I have a Pop up Slider card which slides to reveal a tree full of critters!

I created this tree by masking small stamps and arranging them in a triangular shape!

The stamps are from Mama Elephant.

The closed card looks like this :

I watercolored the background to look like the night sky.

I also added Nuvo crystal drops to look like snow.

The sentiment stamp is by ‘Honey bee’.

You can see the card in action below :

You Are My Happy Card

Hi Crafties!

Today I am back with a simple card made using cutting-dies!

For this card, I used a green colored cardstock panel cut using a rectangle-die.

I had first dry embossed the panel using Craftreat ‘Stripes’ stencil and a Spellbinders embossing mat.

Then I ran this panel under the ‘You are my Happy’ cuttingdie by ‘Concord & 9th’.

I also separately used the same cutting die on a white cardstock.

And adhered the white diecut on the green panel using inlaid diecutting technique.

I watercolored another panel of watercolor cardstock with blue and offset it behind the main green panel.

I diecut the tree & cloud from the ‘In the city’ thin cuttingdie by ‘little birdie’.

The raindrops are the negative pieces from the white cardstock sentiment.

Finished it off with blue nuvo drops!

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you for stopping by… Have a great day ahead!
