Chalk Paint Cards

Hi Crafties!
This is my last project as a DT member for Itsy Bitsy 2019.
Let’s move on to today’s project…
I have several CAS cards for you today featuring Chalk Paints!
CAS stands for Clean and Simple cards. You can make all of these cards in a short time!
For the 1st card :
Step 1:
I used several colors of Chalk Paints. Do let me know in the comments below if you would like to know the names of each!
I used the paints with a flat brush in a swiping motion and then let them dry.
Step 2:
On this panel, I stamped the ‘Flowerful Gratitude’ stamp set with black ink.
Step 3:
Then I foam mounted the panel on a white card base and stamped a sentiment. I also rounded the corners for added interest. And my card is complete!
Now lets move to the next cards –
Both the cards are created from a single panel.
Step 1:
I did the wet on wet watercolor technique. It entails first giving a wash of water on the card panel and then coming in with the colour of your choice. I used Deep Sea Blue and Marsh Green chalk paints.
I let the colour flow on its own.
Step 2:
After drying the panel completely, I die cut the leaf from Fern forest dieset by Little Birdie.
Step 3:
You get two cards out of this. I adhered the negative panel on an A2 card base and stamped the sentiment.
I also created some splatters and added Little Birdie pearl drops.
Step 4:
I then swiped three stripes of chalk paint Marsh Green on a white card panel. And then glued the positive leaf diecut on it and stamped the sentiment.
*To match the colour of the diecut, I painted the borders of the card base with same Deep Sea Blue chalk paint*
Moving on to the last 2 cards.
Step 1:
I used the net stencil with Sailing Sky chalk paint on a white card base.
After I lifted the stencil, I immediately pressed the other side of it on another white card panel.
So you get 2 cards out of this one too!
Step 2:
I stamped the ‘Flowery wishes’ stamp on the stenciled image.
Step 3 :
After repeatedly stamping the sentiment, I glued the panel on a black A2 card base.
Step 4 :
I colored another white card panel with Charcoal chalk paint. And then diecut that panel twice with the same leaf die.
Step 5:
I adhered these 2 diecuts on the faded stenciled image panel. After stamping the sentiment and adding the pearl drops, both cards are complete.
I hope you liked my projects.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge : Whatever the Weather

Magnet in an Easel card!

Hello Crafties!
Today I am on the Itsy Bitsy blog with my very first blog post as a design team member.
This month’s Challenge theme is Anything goes with Little Birdie Instant Image Transfer Gel.
For this, I have a step by step photo tutorial for making a magnet easel card for you today.

I am obsessed about making cards and incorporating new products into my cardmaking!

So if you love cardmaking like me [ high – five 😀 ] or you are into other crafts [ high – five to you too 😀 ], I am sure either way, you would have fun making this card!

Enough of my banter, lets begin:
Step 1:

I took a wooden slice by Little Birdie measuring around 2 inches. These come in a pack of six. So you can make plenty of magnets this way.

I reversed the image of the laser printout before printing. As I wanted my peacock to face in a particular direction.
Step 2 :
Then with a wide brush, I spread Little Birdie Instant Image Transfer Gel over my wooden slice.
* Be generous while applying the gel. The first time I tried, I used very little and ended up ruining my project. So please keep that in mind *

I then placed the gel side of the slice on top of my image. I did this so that I could see how the image was being placed.
Step 3 :
After letting it dry for around 15 min I took some water and began dabbing the paper with my finger, slowly, all over.
* Do not rush this step *
Taking out the first white layer of the paper & then little by little the image starts to peek out. It is so much fun when you see the image transferred completely onto the slice.
Step 4 :
The image might appear a bit hazy but fret not. Just apply a layer of Little Birdie Decor Varnish and voila- the image is immediately crisp! You could use Little Birdie Deco Magic too.

Step 5 :
I then applied a small strip of magnet on the back side of the slice and my magnet is complete.

A Shiny Congratulations!

Hey Crafties!

I love shine and sparkle, especially in my cards. So wherever I can, I try to use products that do so.

For my card today, I have again used WOW Gold Metal Rich Superfine embossing powder. I just love this powder.

The Mandala stamp by Studio Katia is so pretty. I had been wanting this stamp ever since I saw it.

I first watercolored the background in an ombré effect using Koi watercolors with different colors of green.
I then heat embossed the stamp with the above powder.

I also heat embossed the sentiment which is from the Altenew set- Celebrations. That is aother set which I had been drooling over since a long time.

The stripes stamp is by Craftyscrappers.

I finished off the card with green jewels, again from Studio Katia. Aren’t they so pretty?

A Glowing 2019!

Hey Crafties!

Glow-in-the-dark is such an awesome invention right after the light bulb. Don’t both light up the dark! 😉

I have an hexagon easel card for today which, yes, you guessed it right- glows in the dark! Yay!

All the images were heat embossed with Wow Glow in the dark embossing powder.

It gives such a pretty no-line coloring effect!

The stamp set I used is Happy Village by Lawn Fawn.

I added an extra element (the house) inside the card to add dimension.

This is how it looks opened up :

Even the sentiment is heat embossed with Wow Glow in the dark embossing powder.

Just love how it glows at night!

The background is done using distress oxides and the hexagon cuttingdie is by Gina Marie Designs. The number stamp is by Itsy Bitsy.

Flowery Wishes

Hiya Crafties!

Heat embossing is such an integral part of card making. Be it heat embossing a sentiment, or a small image or a whole background! And it gives such beautiful effects!

For my card today, I heat embossed the entire background with Little birdie Gold embossing powder from Itsy bitsy.

The background stamp is by Simon Says Stamp named Flower Explosion. I love this stamp. It’s so pretty. And a must have for a coloring enthusiast.

Before embossing, I adhered a diecut circle of masking paper in the centre. This was so that I could add the sentiment in there.

The sentiment is by Craftyscrappers. I heat embossed it on black cardstock with white embossing powder.

I also added some green & gold paint splatters to bring everything together.

Lastly, I matted my panel with gold cardstock on an A2 card base.

And my card is done!!!

Beary Wishes

Hey Crafties!

In my earlier post, I used watercolors to create a background.

This card uses watercolors too though the finished card looks entirely different.

I used shades of blue for my background.

I then took MFT dienamics Snow drifts Coverup and didn’t use the frame just the positives. Mounted the pieces on foam tape.

The cute bear is from Janes Doodles stamp set. I watercolored it with brush markers.

The sentiment is from Itsy bitsy.

Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.
