Hi Gorgeous | Concord and 9th | I love Math Challenge 17

Hello Crafties!

Today I have a one layer watercolored card for you.

I have used used the ‘Birthday Stacks’ stamp set by Concord and 9th. I stamped the balloons image from the set as trees with vintage photo distress ink.

I love stretching my stamps this way. Not only does it give value for money but it is so creatively satisfying too!

I then watercolored the images and the background with my inktense pencils. They give such a bright outcome. I simply love it.

The sentiment is also by Concord and 9th.

Do you also stretch your supplies?

Do let know in the comments below. Would love to know.

I really appreciate your support.

You Make My Life Magical – MFT Superstar 2020 Coloring Virtuoso

Hello Crafties!

I love to color. Period. There is no specific reason as to why I do.

Well, no, actually there are, a lot of reasons I mean. Coloring calms my mind. It increases my concentration.

It increases my sense of worth (a tiny bit atleast) when people (read : family) go gaga over my coloring. Well the list is endless.

It’s a kind of meditation for me, where I actually lose track of time.

See, I actually lost track of time, just talking about coloring!

This is my entry to the Coloring Virtuoso category from the MFT Superstar contest.

I created a pretty little scene around the Eiffel Tower (it’s my dream to visit it with my family) with beautiful trees and a soothing sky. I wanted to create a postcard kinda card : that reminds anyone of the magical time they must have spent on the Tower for the ones who have visited it. And also create a sense of contentment and magic to those who one day wish to visit it!

For the scene, I used the principle of one point perspective to give a 3-dimensional effect.

The Eiffel Tower is diecut from the ‘Eiffel Tower- dienamics’ by MFT. I used black cardstock to add a sense of drama to the card.

I used a mixture of my Koi watercolor set and my Zig clean color real brush pens.

I used my Zigs for the trees and leaves. And my Koi watercolors for the blending of the sky.

The sentiment is from the ‘Magical Dragons’ stamp set by MFT.

Well, I truly believe that the Eiffel Tower is a symbol of Love. And what is more Magical than Love?

Do let me know in the comments below what are your views on magic and love.

Pea-ka-boo Holiday Wishes!

Hiya Crafties!

I love movement in my cards and hence I mostly end up making interactive cards!

Even though they require a bit of extra effort, they are surely worth it!

You can check out the card in action below:

This is a peekaboo interactive card which when you pull the strip, out pops a surprise!

I like to stretch my stamps. So I used the cute pea stamp from the Be Hap-pea stamp set and stamped repeatedly in the shape of a Christmas tree.

I watercolored the background. I love this color combination.

It was fun making this card and even more fun playing with it.

Let me know in the comments below whether do you like about it!

This is a sweet coffee card made using stamps by Sunny Studio.

I created splatters in the background using watercolours!

I colored the images with watercolor markers and fussy cut them.

It was a very quick card to make given the simplicity.

I finished off the card with nuvo drops!

Though I messed up the background a bit just as I finished making the card.

Can you spot it?

MFT Camp Create Day 1 – Wonderful Watercolor

Hey Crafties!

Today I am sharing a card made with ‘My Favorite Things’ products for their Camp Create Day 1 – Wonderful Watercolor.

Watercolor is such a fun medium. You never know what the end result will be like. It really teaches us to go with the flow.

For this card today, I took a white cardstock panel and gave it a wash of water on the lower right in a scalloped circle kind of motion.

Then I came back with a wash of different shades of green, one after the other. And then let the color flow on its own.

I also added some splatters.

And then foam mounted my cute giraffe from the ‘Safari Friend’ stamp set by MFT, which I had colored and fussy cut during the ‘Daily Marker 30 day Coloring Challenge’ held by Kathy.

You can check out all my colorings of different images on my insta here.

In addition, I adhered few leaf images from the set.

I also stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with black ink on the bottom.

I simply love this color combination. Do you?

Do let me know in the comments below.

Peas Forgive Me

Hello Crafties!

I am really loving the Magic Picture Changer dieset by Lawn Fawn so much so that I use it to make every other card with it.πŸ˜†

You can see a short video of the card below :

The Be Hap-Pea stamp set by Lawn fawn is another stamp set I can’t get enough of.

I made this card as all the earlier Magic Picture changer cards.

You can find them here , here & here .

For this card, I added an extra diecut circle and did some cloud stenciling with Tumbled glass distress oxide.

I also used the border-dies by Lawn Fawn on the base.

I also used the other small stamp images from the above stamp set on the base.

This cute stamp set makes a sorry card look cute too!

Who wouldn’t forgive after receiving it? πŸ˜‰

Timeout Challenges #132 : Home Sweet Home

Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday March 2019 : Spring Flowers

Flower Bouquet Card!

Hello Crafties!
Hope you all are doing absolutely fantastic!

This month’s challenge by Itsy Bitsy is Anything Goes with Little Birdie Watercolour Embellishments

I have a tutorial for you for a Flower Bouquet Card!
What’s better than flowers
Flowers that don’t wilt !!! πŸ˜‰
Read on further, how to make the Flower Bouquet card…..

You can see the card in action below :

Let’s make the base first :

Step 1:
I first took a light brown handmade paper by Little Birdie measuring 8.5″ Γ— 12″. Scored this piece on the long side at 2.75″, 5.5″, 8.25″ and 11″.
Step 2:
Then I cut off 2″Γ—12″ from the above panel. Kept this strip aside as we would require it later.
Step 3:
I then scored the 6.5″ Γ— 12″ panel at 2.75″ on the shorter side and cut along the red lines as shown in the pic.
It will look like this :
Step 4:
The strip (from step 2), I cut at 4.75″ from the end with the 1″ score line.
Then trimmed it in half the long way to get 2 strips of 1″ x 4.75″ each as shown in the pic. Scored them and added double sided tape to the scored ends.
See how I attached them to the box:
Step 5:
For the matting I cut the following :
6 panels of 2.5″ square
3 panels of 2.5″ Γ— 3.5″
2 panels of 2.5″ Γ— 6.5″
See how I adhered them below :
I adhered a white piece of cardstock on the back to write a message for the recipient.

For the flowers :

Step 1:
I used the Watercolour Paper Blooms pack by Little Birdie. Leaving the largest size, I used the other 3 sizes of flowers.
Step 2:
You can watercolor them as per your choice. I used watercolor pencils to color them. Then I embossed the petals a little bit and decorated the center with Little Birdie Pearl drops. I let the drops dry overnight.
* You can make smaller or larger dots based on your choice. They dry hard. *
Step 3:
I also diecut leaves from the Ornate frame dieset with green cardstock.
Step 4:
The next step is to add thin strips of green cardstock (of different lengths) to each of the flowers and some of the leaves.
Step 5:
I also diecut 3 panels of cream color handmade paper using appropriate Square cross-stitch thin cut die by Little Birdie.
I stamped a sentiment onto this from my stash.
The last step is to attach the flowers & leaves with glue onto the box as per your choice.
Hope you liked my flower bouquet card. If you do make this card, I would love to see your creations.
Do let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Have a great day ahead!
