Forever Grateful| Altenew September 2019 Inspiration Challenge|I love Math Challenge 14

Hi Crafties!

Shaker cards are really fun to make and evenore fun to receive. Today I have a shaker card for you with stamps by Altenew!

For the backgrpund I used a stencil by Craftangles with abandoned coral distress ink.

I created softer edges at the corners of the card panel.

The stamp set is by Altenew called Wild Hibiscus.

I colored the images with alcohol markers.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I diecut a small heart from the base and created the shaker panel.

Hope you like my card!

Stencilled Hibiscus!

Hello Crafties,

Stencils are so easy to use and pretty cost effective too! Today I have a card made entirely using stencils! Howzzat! 😆

I have a video tutorial in 2 parts on how I made this card below on my instagram:

Part 1:

Part 2:

I used layered hibiscus stencil by Craftreat and the plaid background stencil by Craftangles.

Inks used were distress inks amd distress oxides by Ranger. My favorites! ❤

For layered stencils, the trick is to use light colors on the base image and darker colors for the shaded parts.

By using the plaid background stencil, the hibiscus image stands out nicely against the dark blue color. Doesn’t it?

The sentiment is from a Pretty Pink Posh stamp set.

I made this card pretty quickly! That’s the fun part with stencils….

Hope you like my video tutorials and the card too!

Howdy Gullfriend! |MFT 2019 Card Design Superstar | Innovation Master

Howdy Crafties!

Saying that I love creating interactive cards would be a huge understatement! 😆

So like always I am super excited to participate in the MFT 2019 Card Design Superstar challenge – Innvoation Master.

I created my card using the Seaside Gulls stamp set by MFT.

It is such an adorable set. I colored the images with my alcohol markers!

You can the see my card in action below :

For the background, I used the cloud stencil (by MFT) twice. First to create clouds and then to create waves.

But before that I used the Denim background stamp (MFT) on white cardstock.

For the half cut front panel I used the wavy-die from the Surf and turf dienamics.

I used Tumbled glass, Salty ocean and Peacock feathers distress oxides for the background.

I have a video tutorial showing how I created my background below:

Part 1 :

Part 2 :

The interactive mechanism was made using the following dienamics :

MFT Trifold slider dienamics

MFT Double Slider Loop slots dienamics

You can see the Trifold slider mechanism in the pic above, but the double slider loop mechanism is hidden behind the front panel.

The upper seagull pops up with a mechanism I made on my own with a few trial and errors. You can see it in the pic below :

I created the L shaped mechanism using a couple of brads. The upper brad is fixed to the panel while the lower one (that connects the 2 strips) is moving. The lower strip is attached to the double slider loop mechanism which when pulled, pushes the seagull above the panel.

Phew! 😅

Explaining interactive mechanisms takes as much effort as much as creating them. 😜

The flying seagull is attached to the trifold slider mechanism with a strip of acetate to show it… flying! 😂

I created one of the two kissing seagulls by mirror stamping.

I stamped the seagull image on a glass block and then pressed my cardstock on it. See the image below :

I really loved creating this card as this adorable seagull stamp set simply makes me so happy.

I will definitely be making more cards with this set.

How did you like my card?

Would love to know your FEEDBACK regarding both the card and the video!!

Animal Kingdom | MFT 2019 Card Design Superstar | Coloring Virtuoso

Hiya Crafties!

I love to color. With any medium I can get my hands on! Whether the final coloring looks awesome is another matter! 😜

I am entering today’s card in the MFT 2019 Card Design Superstar – Coloring Virtuoso

For this card, I used the Safari Friends stamp set by MFT.

This is my first time doing the no-line coloring technique with alcohol markers!

And boy was it challenging! 😥

For the stamping I used the MFT premium dye ink in Grout Gray.

I love that ink for its subtle color! ❤

I wanted to create a postcard scene with animals.

I used the cloud stencil by MFT along with Peacock Feathers distress oxide for the sky.

This is how the scene looked after stamping and before coloring!

And the final coloring :

The trees are stamped with log stamp image form the MFT Happy Hedgehogs stamp set.

And the leaves on the trees are from the MFT Safari friends stamp set itself!

I love creating happy scenes and this card was one of them!

Would love to know your FEEDBACK !!

A Happy Day Card!

Hi Crafties!

I have a video tutorial for today’s card that I made using Concord & 9th stamps.

You can see the tutorial below:

It is a simple card easy to make. I have used layered stamps from the ‘Happy day’ stamp set by Concord and 9th.

Distress oxides are on one of my most favorite inks.

I have used various oxides for this card namely Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilised amber, Twisted citron, Mowed lawn, Picked raspberry, Faded denims and Crushed olives.

I diecut the oval part and stuck it using foam tape back from where I cut it, to add more interest to the card.

The background was filled using a dot stamp from the stamp set.

Simple cards bring out the beauty of the design! Don’t you think?

Hope you like my video tutorial and the card too!

Hello Crafties!

I love funny sentiments on cards. They make the card more interesting and definitely more fun.

Today I have a card made with Heffy Doodle stamp set ‘Sticky Friends’ which would make you smile.

Chevk out the video tutorial on my IGTV below :

I used different distress inks for this card. I used the wet on wet watercolour technique for the background.

I have used the inks in rainbow order because it’s one of my favourite color combos.

The tiny little stamps I used in the background are from my stash.

Don’t forget to read the fine print below the main sentiment 😉

Hope you like my video tutorial and the card too!
